I bet you have seen thousands on the mrt with it. I think it is nokia's most popular phone as of now. Its the nokia e71, and its better than your phone. For those who hate QWERTY keyboards, this is obviously not for you. Its rather sleek in real life and I WANT IT. Though I would have to settle for something cheaper and that comes in the form of the e63, which is on the plasticky side.

Anyway, forget about the e71. The e72 is even better.

There are generally, 4 types of goonheads.
1) goonhead on msn decides to get creative with their personal messages and try to sound profound and einstein-like. With sadly, drastic results.
2) goonhead proclaiming their love for their significant other. So cheesy lah.
3) goonhead tries to sound emo and heartbroken.
4) goonhead has irritatingly long pm filled with strange symbols and words, and of course, the obligatory smiley face.

Of course, when there are goonheads, there are goodheads.
There are 2 types of goodheads.
1) goodhead quotes from the bible.
2) goodhead gives a real intellectually stimulating, brain-cell-massaging personal message that he/she thought of himself/herself.

Anyone ever watched The Universe on History Channel? Its super nice lah. And i just found out they are selling all the 3 seasons as DVD box sets. I especially like the episode on cosmic holes.

Trust chinese dramas to come up with fancy names for their kung fu moves. Like 'dog-killing sabre something'. Typically, a male in long robes and hair yells a battle cry, charges forward, yells out the name of some cheesy kung fu move and then proceeds to fly up in the air and kick someone's head off. Someday they will have a 'watermelon bashing flying kick'. And I will laugh my head off.

I love coffee shops with their LCD TVs, yelling drunkards, yelling drink stall owners, grimy tables and good food.

Jean came today for a sort of chiong homework session. We promised to be very productive, but ended with us thumping drum beats on my poor electone. And laughing over everything in sight. Meanwhile, I managed to twit, watch Britain's got talent funnies on youtube, and chomp on a bag of banana chips. We finished a grand total of 2 maths questions, 2 english questions, and a cheesy paragraph for my stupid SS pt.

Made some minor changes to sidebar, and added a twitter widget. Not that i twit a lot. Or that i have a lot of twits to read. I need more twits to read! So kind souls please get on twitter so i can read your nice old boring tweets on how you haven't done any holiday homework! Or how you liked the dead flies in your mum's soup! The former I don't believe of course.

Maybe twitter will just be a passing craze like the dear ole donut. Or maybe not. It might become a global obsession, and blogger and messenger and all the 'old-fashioned' ways of getting yourself heard will just get flattened and steamrollered over by the gigantic shadow of a tiny blue bird that just twits louder and louder. And of course, massively popular facebook is losing its face. facebook? what facebook?

techtech is the way to go

I'm having a super geek tech discussion with pang pang!

And we are talking about iphone3gs, android powered htc magic, lg arena, and the latest samsung gadgetry.

If anyone bothered to monitor the samsungunpacked website, they released the samsung JET to the world on 15th june, i think. It packs a super fast processor, a WVGA screen with AMOLED technology, and its almost everything a spec conscious geek could wish for.

Samsung is also releasing Omnia II, Omnia pro, and Omnia lite (joining the Omnia and the Omnia HD family?). And for megapixel freaks, they will also be releasing Pixon 12, obviously equipped with 12 megapixels of memory eating camera goodness/badness, as the sequel to the Pixon. This makes it the first 12mp camera phone to be released, beating the SE Satio/Idou to it. LG has the crystal phone with S class interface and a unique slide-out glass touch keypad, which somewhat acts as a extension to its touchscreen.

Nokia has also released its new flagship multimedia monster n97, complete with a qwerty keyboard and a large touchscreen, joining the ranks of the palm pre, and the soon to be released apple iphone 3gs. And of course there is the old news of the sony ericsson promises of 12mp Satio (formerly known as Idou), Aino (I like!), and Yari.

So many phones this June/July ain't it?

And of course there was the time when we were at some airport and they identified you by your thumbprint. Theres this machine on the counter that reads your thumbprint and all you have to do is stick your thumb on it. But apparently NOOOOO, PP was not thinking again.

What happened:
Person who stamps passports gestures with thumb after checking his passport.
PP sticks out thumb in front of the person's face with gusto.
I could have died. From laughter.

I hope he doesn't do that again.

Anyway forgot to blog about my awesome once or twice a year meeting with jeanette chen the super-bean face! Met her at kembangan then went to snow city, got frozen, walked out with a nice souvenir of iced butts and then got fried in the scorching sun while walking back to MRT.

Watched Monsters VS Aliens in 3D which was freaking nice because it was super funny. We love BOB, the blue blob. Walked around plaza sing after that, toured daiso, climbed escalators, talked, walked, blahed, dreamt of food, and finally went home on a crowded MRT train, longing to feel our butts creaking on the cheapo blue plastic seats.

Following tradition, i whacked her on the head again. Accidentally lah.

Its good to keep in touch with primary school friends. (:

Whats with the CIP hours thing anyway.

Honestly, I do not enjoy doing CIP. I do not enjoy being dao-ed by passerbys on the street while getting donations or whatever. I do not enjoy doing community service. I do not enjoy doing things just for the sake of seeing a measly number on my report.

Call me an uncompassionate piece of blah, but I'm not perfect, and you aren't too. Really, if you do CIP because you have the passion for it, I respect you, because I have 0 patience and 0 passion for CIP.

I guess its necessary that someone does the community some good right? And since not many people will willingly do it, they make it compulsory for students to do it, which really defeats the supposedly good intentions of CIP.

Someone please tell me an activity that gets me CIP hours that does not involve flag-selling, donation collecting, or library book shelving. I guess that doesn't leave much to consider. They should have more CIP activities, since like half of Singapore's students can be found moping around shopping centres hoping that some nonexistent kind soul will approach them and donate like 50 bucks.

Anyone knows of any activities which do not involve any of the above-stated that will suit a lazy bum who is desperately in need of CIP hours?

new apple iphone 3g S

YAY. New apple iphone is called the iphone 3G S. Not sure what the S stands for.

Was supposed to stay up for the live updates on WWDC 2009 at 1am, which technically isn't on monday, but tuesday. But I went to sleep anyway. Iphone 3G S sports 16 or 32 GB, which now equals the ipod touch, muahahahaha. Supposedly twice as fast, has the new OS which enables cut and paste, video recording, some sort of universal search thing called spotlight blahblahblahblahblah.

The camera got upgraded to a 3 mp autofocus with macro mode, and can do recording, so thats kind of a nice improvement right?

Apparently they will still be selling the iphone 3g, at a cheaper price. But you still get the new OS with all those features, besides the video camera and the faster processor.

I feel sorry for all those people who bought their iphone 3Gs before this. haha.

Some sort of annual apple thing come monday. And everyones hopeful they will be announcing the new iphone. NEW IPHONE. To those who just bought their iphone, i say heh.

Well of course theres a possibility they are not announcing it tomorrow. MONDAY MONDAY COME COME COME.

Theres still another 8 days to 'unpacking' the new samsung. It better be a wower. Argh, I will be in bangkok, how to see? I'm hoping that the hotel has free wireless internet. I am excited excited EXCITED.

And on a sidenote, US just got their first taste of the palm pre! If you have no idea what that is, you are a coconut tree.

I bet you didn't know there are so many different types of pocky lah. Its because you are an ignorant twit.

10 things to do on a MRT train:
1) Hang your wet smelly shirt on the handle rail.
2) Cut your toenails, fingernails.
3) Slurp up maggi noodles.
4) Occupy 3 seats at once.
5) Clean the floor with your butt and air your shoes at the same time.
6) Take the handles as monkey bars and swing like an orang utan.
7) Scratch your foul smelling armpits.
8) Speak colourful language loudly into your phone- a slew of hokkien vulgarities.
9) Start snoring and allowing your drooping head to go in all directions, including your neighbour's shoulder.
10) Shove your way through like a typical kiasu aunty carrying 1 bag of diapers, and another bag of maggi mee.

And many many more.

bloated

Everytime we have batch lunch, I always end up bloated.

Ate at cafe cartel with batch, ate like 2 baskets of bread and like finished up 6 mini plastic cups of butter, which is freaking fattening. And then we had cheapo soup, nice spaghetti, and quite nice cake, which all came with the set lunch. Spent like 9.50 per person wtp.

Right now I'm using tiger balm liberally. And burping intermittently.

Anyway, in our usual aunty batch style, walked around plaza sing with liying hiccuping and wenqi trying to scare the hiccups out of her. We amused ourselves in TIMES for like 1 hr, laughed, talked, burped, and coughed. And then we walked out empty-handed.

Someone pass the tiger balm.

I think I have freaking a lot of respect for some people, because they deserve it. And to think I didn't really look up to them before. Last time I was this big fat giant who just crushed everyone underneath my feet, because I thought they were insignificant.

Sometimes I wonder why everyone else grows while i just stay the same. Like my achievements seem so insignificant compared to what they have. Achievements. What achievements? Thinking back, it seems that i have wasted 2 and a half years doing nothing that I can consider of value. I did more things when I was younger, achieved more, dreamt more, thought more. Now I am just turning into this lump that sits around and drools over gadgets.

I want to be 6 again. I want to run, leap, jump, dance like there is nothing to worry about. No self-consciousness, no peer-pressure, no caring about what is happening out there, as long as it doesn't concern me. I want to be hardworking, caring, obedient again. I want to have ridiculous dreams and goals again. I want to grin like i did last time.

And then of course I always remind myself that I am wasting time doing nothing. But it doesn't work, does it? In the end, I am still in front of the computer screen, typing away about ridiculous things the moment i get the chance.

Sometimes I really wonder, what on earth I am doing, or going to do with my life. There is not always going to be a tomorrow.

I am less than what you think I am. I am afraid of your expectations of me.

the future

The future is looking good for mobile phones. Ohmy I am sooo excited. I am such a geek lah. Anyway since lesser beings like you most likely won't be able to understand anything that follows, I shall explain.

1) By 2012, possibility to have 12-20 mp camera phones, which personally i don't really care a lot of since camera phones will never be as good as a proper camera. The megapixel race is sickening isn't it? When you got your 2mp phone they released the n95 with a 5mp, and then when you got a 5mp, they upped it to 8mp, and now by Q3 or so, SE is going to debut 12mp, and so you will never get the end of this. You will just to need to get bigger and bigger memory cards.
example: SE Idou. go google it lah.


2) XGA screen resolution. Ahh im excited about this. This means higher pixel count, which means sharper screen images.
example: Sharp AQUOS sh 931 or something like that. (Japanese!)


3) Processor speeds of 1GHz. Ever hated that lag on your phone? muahaha. I think even apple iphone doesn't even come close to this.
Example: Toshiba TG01


4) HD video recording.
Example: Samsung Omnia HD.


If you put all those examples together you get the super-phone of the future. MUAHAHA. And did you notice they are all touch screen phones?
