eating less... and failing

My marvellous plans to eat less this weekend were foiled by some birthday party at my aunt's house.
But, it is the most interesting birthday dinner I have been to, because the whole first floor was changed into some kind of high end buffet restaurant. (super cool lah!)

All the furniture was replaced with big round tables with flowing tablecloths, which were adorned with a flower centerpiece and a huge bunch of unnecessary cutlery. You know, like the 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 plates western dining atrocity. Not to mention that everyone seems to be staring at you when you try to scoop rice with a largely inadequate fork, and then you realise that you end up with half your food on your lap.

For the record, I also managed to drop 2 peas on the floor. They are probably rolling around under the TV set by now. teehee. My aunt will be so pleased with me when she chances on those mouldy peas.

MP and I also managed to steal approximately half of the teabags at the buffet spread, along with a small jar of jam, and a large wad of thick napkins. We are so cheapo hahaha.

Here are a bunch of badly taken photos, courtesy of my lousy phone camera:
